Passport Services

  • Passport renewal in France: Book an appointment at fr.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/passports/
  • Complete Form DS-82 (if current passport is less than 15 years old and was issued when you were 16+) OR DS-11 (for first-time, minor, or older passport)
  • Passport photos: Must meet US passport photo requirements (white background, 2Γ—2 inches / 5Γ—5cm). Not the same as French photos.
  • Fees: $130 (adults renewal), $100 (minor). Additional execution fee of $35 if applying in person. Pay in EUR equivalent at the Embassy.
  • Processing time: 8–12 weeks routine, 5–7 weeks expedited (additional $60 fee). Emergency same-day passports available for documented emergencies.
